Homework & Report Cards

Homework is assigned daily and usually a review of what is learned in school that day. Most students are required to copy their assignments from the board.

Lower grade students may be given a homework sheet for you to follow. Assignments will also be placed on our Pupil Path system. Subjects will include Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. Remind your students to make sure to take home everything they need to complete the assignment, (Textbooks, worksheets, booklets, etc.) These systems also help when a student is absent from school. You can still follow the homework sheet or sign on to Pupil Path the retrieve assignments.

Homework should be completed by the student and signed by a parent daily also. Please have supplies at home readily available for them; a quiet space, pencils, crayons, loose leaf paper, dictionary, ruler, protractor, scissors, etc. If you notice that your child is having a significant problem in some areas, write a note to the teacher. If your child is not receiving homework assignments on a daily basis, please contact the school.

Each student is given homework daily, at the very least they should read for at least 30 minutes each night. If they are given written homework that they need help with Dial-A-Teacher is a great resource.  They are open 4:00pm – 7:00pm for homework help. The phone calls are answer by actual Certified NYC Teachers. Utilize them!
